DOUBLE SAN DIEGO KNOT

How to Tie the Double San Diego Knot

Popularized in San Diego, Calif., the San Diego jam consists of a fishing knot in which the line wraps over itself to create a strong bond. The San Diego Double Jam uses the same technique as the original knot but doubles up the line, creating a stronger bond. Typically, the knot works with light to medium fishing line and holds between 30 and 50 lbs. Often, fishermen use the San Diego jam knot or double knot when fishing with a braided line.
